Our delightful cottage has stunning views over Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran and you can regularly see seals, dolphins, otters, sea-birds, porpoises, sea eagles and basking sharks. The side garden overlooks a beautiful stream. The cottage sleeps up to two people and is tastefully furnished throughout, the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Our cosy lounge (with wood burning stove) leads to a garden room with French doors which open onto a west-facing secure back garden where you can relax and chill out with a glass of wine in the evening sun. The lounge has a TV/DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric hob, oven, fridge (with small freezer section), washing machine & microwave. French doors open out to the riverside garden.
Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the king-size bedroom. A spacious walk-in shower room comes with a WC and heated towel rail. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Grogport village has a private water system which needs to be boiled before use. An initial supply of bottled drinking water is provided in the cottage.
Visiting Grogport & Exploring Argyll
Grogport is a superb base for exploring a range of attractions and glorious landscapes around Argyll and the Kintyre peninsula. Stroll around hidden coves, deserted beaches, medieval castles and quaint fishing villages. Grogport also sits on the Kintyre Way, one of Scotland's newest walking trails. Carradale is only 4 miles away and has a picturesque harbour, gorgeous beach, a restaurant, a pub, a cafe, a post office with general store, a health centre and a 9-hole golf course.
You can catch ferries to Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura, plus there is a ferry service from Tarbert to the Kyles of Bute. 18 miles away is the bustling old harbour of Tarbert and 17 miles away in Campbeltown you will discover two excellent whisky distilleries and a leisure centre with a swimming pool.
