New for 2022!
Welcome to Penmorva! The name is probably derived from the Cornish words Pen for hill or headland, and morva from a 'place by the sea'. Situated in one of the most desirable positions in Cornwall, this super property sleeps nine in five bedrooms, and boasts stunning views of the Helford River. Set in over half an acre of mature and private gardens with a terraced area and seating for up to eleven guests, you'll have plenty of opportunity to relax and simply enjoy the surroundings. All rooms are large, light and spacious and are comfortably equipped for your needs. Within a few feet, there is a footpath leading down to Bar Beach and then on to Helford Passage. A second footpath leads north to the Budock Vean Golf Course and Spa which are open to non-members for private bookings.
Helford Passage nestles on the banks of the beautiful river Helford, with a sandy beach and direct access to the South West Coastal Path. There’s plenty to do here, including the hire of kayaks or paddle boards to get you out on the water. The Ferryboat Inn specialises in seafood dishes and holds regular music and quiz nights. The local ferry can take you across to pretty Helford village where you can meander along the shore to explore Daphne Du Maurier’s Fisherman’s Creek. Alternatively relax and enjoy good food at the welcoming Shipwrights Arms in Helford or venture further afield to historic and bustling Falmouth, experience rugged Land’s End or the gentle gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. All the traditional attractions of a Cornish Holiday such as nearby fishing trips, golf, cycling, horse-riding, seaside fish and chips, coastal walks, art galleries and stunning beaches make this a perfect base for families all year round.
