Thanckes House has a mixture of double and twin rooms enough to sleep 12 and five bathrooms (4 en-suite, 1 Family bathroom) two separate toilets and a separate shower room in the pool area. This stunning property boasts is very own private cinema room with 73inch feature screen and comfortable furniture to maximise your cinema experience.
The spacious open plan living area which includes the lounge and dining room has a floor to ceiling glass front with sliding doors to maximise the panoramic sea views. The ideal place for guests to enjoy the fabulous views of Portwrinkle. This room also leads to the games room where you will find multi games including a Bar Billiards table, football ball table and ping pong table that the whole group can enjoy together.
The private, heated, indoor swimming pool, always a big hit with visitors, also has a glass front with doors leading out to the garden, BBQ area, and private hot tub. There is also a private walkway from the garden to our sauna and steam room facilities, which guests will be able to book for a private visit. So, what are you waiting for? Outside the premises is a spacious car park area with enough room for 4 cars. The front door opens onto an enclosed inside porch and then into the reception area. To the right, is the entrance to the utility room which houses the cleaning items you may require during your stay and the side entrance to the games room. There is a downstairs toilet also off from the reception hall, very convenient for families with young children.
To the left of the reception area, you will find the large fully fitted kitchen and breakfast bar which overlooks the garden and out to sea. There is also a doorway leading into the living area from here.
To the left of the staircase is the living area with comfortable seating and TV area, this forms part of the open plan lounge and dining areas. The living area is large and spacious with comfortable sofas and an array of chairs and coffee tables as well as a satellite LED smart TV. There is a bookshelf filled with books for your reading pleasure and where in you will find the ground floor heating thermostat.
The dining area has a large dining table with seating for 12. This area leads through double glass doors into the games room and the indoor entrance to the swimming pool area, which sports a wet changing room with shower and toilet. There are double patio doors to the front of this room that open out onto the terrace where the hot tub, sun loungers and a barbecue can be found.
At the top of the staircase from the reception area, is the 1st floor landing, which takes you to the six bedrooms and the cinema room.
Bedroom one – the master bedroom - at the top of the stairs and to the right and front of the property, is a front facing, sea view bedroom with a Super King bed, walk-in closet, and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, wash basin and toilet. The 2nd bedroom – opposite the main bedroom - is also sea facing with a zip and link bed so that you are able to choose either 2 x singles beds or 1 x double. This bedroom also has an en-suite shower with wash basin. Both these rooms have sliding doors leading onto the shared balcony.
Towards the back of the property and next to bedroom 2, is bedroom 3. This room has a rear view of the property and is fitted with a very comfortable large double bed. This room has access to the family bathroom – bath, shower and wash basin - and the separate toilet.
Further along the landing and to the left of the stairs is a large hallway with extra cupboard space and large window with a rear view. This hallway leads to the other 3 bedrooms and the cinema room. Bedroom 4 is to the left and opposite the cinema room. This bedroom has again a zip and link bed, front sea view and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. Bedroom 5 just next door to bedroom 4 also consists of a zip and link bed and front and side sea views. This en-suite bathroom with an elevated bath and large window gives you a view of the sea too! It also has a wash basin and toilet. Both these rooms have large front sliding doors leading out to a shared balcony.
Bedroom 6, the last bedroom to the right of Bedroom 5, has a side sea view and has standard twin beds. This room does not have an en-suite and guests share the family bathroom and toilet down the hall.
The private cinema room is positioned next to bedroom 6 and boasts a 73inch feature screen, sound bar and comfortable furniture to maximise your cinema experience. All entertainment is accessed via the guests own Netflix, Amazon, Disney and YouTube accounts.

Located in Torpoint, this vacation home is on the beach. Port Eliot and Port Eliot House and Gardens are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at South West Coast Path Section 35 Trailhead and Torpoint Ferry. Adventure Bay Surf School and Antony Woodland Garden are also worth visiting.
