Sat high atop the cliffs at Whitsand Bay, with spectacular panoramic views along the Rame peninsula is Glenavon. A rambling cliff path leads to this detached cliffside cabin - the position is breath-taking and perfect for beach-lovers and surfers. Inside the cabin is fresh, modern and contemporary with an open plan living/dining room and smart fitted kitchen area all with incredible sea views. There are two bedrooms. The first, a king-size double with an en-suite shower nestled in the eaves (low head height) on the first floor. At the end of a hot and busy day, you can throw open the velux windows, slip between the sheets and simply listen to the wind and the waves below whilst watching the stars above. On the ground floor the second bedroom is ideal for children and has a cabin and a single bed. There's also a family shower room. To the side of the cabin there is a neat lawned area and at the rear with nothing between you and the view, a patio seating area perfect for enjoying cocktails and a spot of dolphin spotting, as the sun sinks below the horizon. Whitsand Bay beach is just 130 metres further along the cliff path (steep access) and a very handy outside shower means you can rinse sandy boards and wetsuits. Nearby is Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, the very pretty twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand where you can enjoy seaside dining in one of several good pubs. Foot/car ferries await to whisk you away to Plymouth, Devon's Ocean City, home to the historic Barbican, Hoe, National Marine Aquarium, and shops, bars and restaurants aplenty. Glenavon is a truly special destination.
