Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: Carbis Bay is a picturesque beach community just a short drive from the world-famous St. Ives. The beach is ideal for a classic seaside outing, with turquoise waves and a sheltered setting that creates a nearly subtropical atmosphere. If lounging in the sun isn't your style, you may visit the Ocean Sports Centre located right on the beach and rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to enjoy the water. A day at the spa at the charming hotel with views of the beach and a great terrace for cocktails in the Cornish sun is another option. There are some modest stores and restaurants in Carbis Bay, as well as a fish and chip takeout and a railway branch line. Perhaps one of the most scenic train rides in the country is from Carbis Bay to St. Ives, and the town itself is a fun place to spend the day thanks to its many museums and art galleries. The town of Hayle, situated on the water, is not far away and features a wildlife refuge and a golf course, perfect for a day out with the kids. Coasteering and birding are only two of the many outdoor and watersport activities that may be easily arranged from Carbis Bay, thanks to its proximity to the Godrevy Nature Reserve and the Penwith Heritage Coast. If you're looking for a great vacation spot in Cornwall, go no further than Carbis Bay.
Located in St Ives, this apartment is near theme parks and on the beach. St Ives Museum and Paradise Park and JungleBarn are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Trevaskis Farm and Wharfside Shopping Centre. Ready for a night out? Consider Acorn Theatre and Gwennap Pit. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking, horse riding, and cycling.
