A surfer’s paradise, The Cliffs holds a wonderful location overlooking the iconic Fistral beach offering a relaxed and welcoming getaway for up to 7 guests.
With contemporary interiors and elegant furnishings throughout this sunny apartment boasts a cosy open plan living area with well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Sliding doors open to a glass-fronted balcony and seating area where you can breathe in the sea air with a local Cornish ale in hand. The Master Bedroom (Super King-size bed) with en-suite and King size bedroom both benefit from access to the balcony, so you can enjoy the sea views from your morning lie-in. A third bedroom holds three single beds and a family bathroom with over bath shower and Faith & Nature toiletries.
The apartment is accessed by lift from the secure underground car park, so you can load up your beach bags with ease.
The Cliffs overlooks Watergate Bay, Newquay Golf course and is moments away from Fistral Beach where you can enjoy a delicious Rick Stein’s fish and chip takeaway on the golden sands. The Atlantic swell of Fistral Beach provide the perfect waves for surfing with a number of surfing events taking place each year and plenty of opportunities to hire a board and get some lessons from seasoned local teachers.
As the surfing mecca of the UK, Newquay is home to some of Britain’s most stunning beaches with Fistral Beach being one of most significant, playing host to the Boardmasters International Surf Competition each year. It’s not just surfing on offer, water-skiing, jet-skiing and paddle-boarding are amongst the many watersports available, whilst out of the water the beach plays host to the annual five-day music festival, Boardmasters.
A gateway to the wild beauty of Cornwall, there is a plethora of local beaches and beauty spots. Step out of your door and take a walk along the coast stopping off for an afternoon tea at the historic Headland Hotel. Nearby Watergate Bay offers two miles of golden sand and a more peaceful environment whilst a short drive will take you to the perfect rock-pooling spot at Porth Beach. Make sure you head out on the narrow footbridge to Porth Island for stunning views of the Cornish coastline. Or take a visit to nearby National-Trust owned Trerice, a charming Elizabethan manor with picture perfect gardens, perched just outside of Newquay
If you’re looking for a day trip, the charming coastal town of Padstow is just a thirty-minute drive away. Try your hand at crabbing in the harbour, grab yourself a local pasty for lunch or take a boat trip over to nearby Rock. The Eden Project in St. Austell is only a forty-minute drive, a perfect spot for families where you can walk amongst the dramatic tropical biomes and experience the sights and smells of the rainforest.
If you’re looking for a night out, Newquay has plenty to offer. Head to Bush Pepper, a culinary treasure blending a British-Australian menu with fresh seasonal produce, then enjoy a cocktail or two at Tom Thumb with house blended vermouths and syrups served by expert mixologists. If you’re looking to sample some local seafood why not order your own freshly caught and cooked lobster or crab from the Fernpit Café fresh from the water straight to your plate!
