Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: Porthtowan is a modest village on Cornwall's picturesque west coast, famous for its Blue Flag beach, which exposes about a mile and a half of fine, pristine sands at low tide. The beach, which is surrounded by spectacular granite cliffs, is a popular surfing destination and is lifeguarded throughout the summer, making it perfect for families. Porthtowan is part of the St Agnes Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are some beautiful walks to be discovered along the South West Coast Path.
Located in Truro, this lodge is on the beach. Gwennap Pit and Royal Cornwall Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Portreath Beach and Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's going on at Mount Wise Stadium, or consider a night out at Performance Centre. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling, rock climbing, and hiking nearby.
