There is a superb private garden to the front with a seating area, perfect for alfresco dining, and to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the estuary. Stepping outside, the amenities of Grange-over-Sands are all on your door step to enjoy with the cafes, shops, bakeries and chocolatier. Also within easy walking distance is the railway station where you enjoy a trip up the west coast or hop across the estuary over the viaduct to Arnside. Once there, you can sample the real ales in the award-winning pubs or walk on the front and have a fish and chip supper. You can also walk up Arnside Knott to see the stunning vista of Morecambe Bay and the lake land hills above and beyond Grange-over-Sands. Back across the estuary in Grange, there are also lovely park gardens and the bracing promenade walk from the station along the shore to Blawith Point. Just 10 minutes away is the attractive, historic, village of Cartmel, home to sticky toffee pudding and the UK’s smallest racecourse with meets during the summer months. The ancient 12th century abbey is also worthy of a visit, and if you enjoy historic houses and gardens there is Holker Hall, Levens Hall with its world-class topiary and gardens and Sizergh Castle, all within easy reach and have delicious cafes offering home-made food and local produce. Just 15 minutes away you are also at the southern tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge. Here you can enjoy the lakeside and stunning landscape with a cruise to Bowness and Ambleside. Being situated in the southern lakes, but also on the coast, this delightful cottage is well placed to explore locally or further afield, making this a perfect location to holiday all-year-round.
