Askam in Furness is right on the Cumbrian coast with lots on offer for all the family, from beach days out to visiting the Zoo. The village has a local shop along with a number of takeaways. You can walk straight from the house down to the Duddon Estuary, which offers amazing views. The Lakes National Park is 9 miles away where you can enjoy a variety of days out such as boat trips on a few different lakes or exploring the wonderful countryside. Coniston Water (13 miles) makes a lovely day out. Enjoy majestic waterside strolls, climb to the summit of Old Man of Coniston for panoramic views or take a ride on the truly magical Victorian Steam Yacht Gondola. This beautiful, characteristic ,country house will feel like a home away from home as soon as you walk in the door. As you enter through the hallway, you will find the snug on your right, the snug has a wood burner and seating area, right in the hub of the house. Through the snug is another relaxing seating area with a second cosy wood burner. Past this room you will find a large conservatory, with more seating, a dining area and access to the courtyard. The kitchen is accessed from the entrance hall, where you can spend your time creating a family feast, just off the kitchen is an additional modern shower room and WC. Heading upstairs, the first floor lounge boasts comfort and tranquillity, featuring a grand piano, two sofas and armchairs along with a Smart TV to enjoy a family movie. At the end of the lounge you will find a door leading out to the patio where you can enjoy the stunning coastal views. Bedrooms are accessed from the ground floor up one of two flights of stairs, from the landing, you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath, shower, and WC. Next are three double rooms one with an en suite shower room. The main bathroom is offering a large shower room and WC. Finally, is the last bedroom has a king size bed. Heading outside, there is a lawned area and a patio with seating where you can sit with a drink and enjoy the stunning views over the sea and beyond.
