This lovely five bedroom cottage is set amongst beautiful woodlands on a high promontory on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere. An outstanding location set amongst typical Lakeland countryside, within easy reach of Lake Windermere and the ever popular Bowness on Windermere. Set back on the eastern shores of the lake in a hidden glade, guests will be delighted by the lovely atmosphere afforded by the mature trees, wild flowers, bracken and the local wildlife. A great location for a group of friends, walking group or large family to get together and embrace a memorable break; enjoy the beautiful walks from the doorstep and return home and enjoy a good relaxing soak in the hot tub. Featuring a spacious ground floor layout with bright and cheery entrance hall, an adjoining snug area with flat screen TV, a cosy sitting room also with flat screen TV with woodburning stove and access out to the decked area and views across the beautiful grounds. A modern woodburning stove makes for cosy evenings sitting together and talking about the day's adventures, enjoying a nice supper and maybe one or two bottles of locally brewed ale. The well-equipped kitchen with open plan dining area provides a good space to hone your cooking skills and enjoy some wonderful home baking. The ground floor also contains two useful bedrooms with an adjoining shared bathroom. Upstairs the cottage boasts a further three bedrooms, all with modern en-suite facilities and one of the rooms is a family room sleeping four, a great bedroom for the kids to share. The main patio doors lead outside to a spacious decked area with a luxurious hot tub, making this an ideal spot to relax, take in the beautiful surroundings, read a good book and enjoy the soothing waters of the hot tub. A short walk takes guests down to the lake ferry where a short 'cruise' gives access to the far shores of Hawkshead and the enchanting walk to magical Tarn Hows. All the facilities of Bowness-on-Windermere are on the doorstep and the not to be missed attractions include the hand-made chocolate shop and the wonderful walks along the Bowness promenade where the many cruise ships run down the Lake to Ambleside. Discover picturesque local strolls along footpaths bordering the site, including the Dales Way which runs by the golf club and Crook and Staveley and for the more adventurous walks across to Cartmel Fell. Further afield walk to Brant Fell which provides stunning views over Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells, including the Langdales and Crinkle Crags which offer some of the most outstanding challenges in this wonderful area. A lovingly holiday home ideal for family and friends to get away- from-it-all and discover the endless delights of Lakeland.
