Lace up your boots, throw a harness on the dog and head out to explore close to home. Just 2 miles away, the village of Alston is supposedly the highest market settlement in England at 1000ft above sea level. Browse the streets which are dotted with independent shops and places to grab a tasty bite to eat or hop on the Pennine Way for an adventurous afternoon in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you fancy a day on the water, make the 26.5 mile trip into the Lake District and visit the beautiful lake at Ullswater. Board a dog friendly steamer for a lovely day out. Take the two steps up and into the beautiful living space to settle in. The stylish lounge/diner has a comfortable sofa and pair of chairs in which you can sit and unwind in front of the Smart TV. Throw open the patio doors to let a breeze flow inside. Head through to the spacious kitchen where an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine provide you with all you need to cook your meals and wash muddy clothes fresh from adventure. Completing the ground floor is a useful shower room with WC. When it s time to say good night, climb stairs to the first floor to rest your head. With quirky sloping ceilings, both the king size and the twin bedrooms are bright and airy, creating relaxing spaces in which to drift off. Rise from a peaceful sleep and head to the family bathroom with WC for a soak in the tub (with shower attachment) for a relaxing start to your day. The bathroom also has a sloping ceiling so take care when getting in and out of the double sided bath. Settle into the hot tub for a sumptuous soak to calm aching muscles. Admire far reaching views from here before heading to the patio for a glass of something cold where you can also enjoy al fresco meals. If you fancy staying outside late, throw a log on the firepit and stay warm. There is parking for two cars.
