To the south is the Forest of Bowland (8 miles), with miles of fells, valleys and moorland. In the east, the Silverside and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is home to Lakeland Wildlife Oasis (9 miles) and Hazelslack Tower (11.5 miles). Heading into the Yorkshire Dales, landmarks include the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (7 miles), the Ribblehead Viaduct (13.5 miles), White Scar Cave (8.5 miles) and Ingleborough (10 miles).
