Close to the shore of Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District, make the most of this incredible location with lakeside picnics and wild swimming, cycling or hiking around the shore, as well as canoeing and boating. Walk to the impressive Aira Force waterfall or explore Greenside Mine beyond Glenridding to learn about its fascinating past. Outdoor enthusiasts will find a plethora of walking opportunities, including Helvellyn or the smaller Glenridding Dodd. The bustling towns of Keswick or Penrith, both less than 16 miles away, enjoy a lovely selection of independent shops and eateries if you fancy a shopping trip. At the front of the property is a cosy lounge, where you can sink back into the comfortable armchairs or sofa and watch the Smart TV or play card games in front of the wood burner. Further into the cottage is the kitchen/diner, equipped with an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, and a convenient washing machine. Enjoy family meals around the farmhouse style dining table, which can seat five people. Head upstairs to the first two cheerful bedrooms, two spacious doubles with fantastic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. On this floor, you can also find a shower room which has a WC and a modern shower cubicle. The second floor attic conversion houses a single bedroom with a useful set of drawers. Outside the front door is a terrace area that is also accessed by the neighbouring houses, with a seating area for enjoying the breathtaking views of St Sunday Crag and the Helvellyn range. There is also a small sloping lawn where you can take in the fresh air. On road parking can be found in Glenridding as vehicles are not suitable for the access track which leads up to the cottage.
