The cottage sleeps five guests and has an elevated position, providing spectacular views of the surrounding fells. The slopes of Blencathra rise up behind the cottage, inspiring you to pull on your hiking boots and explore. Enjoy an exhilarating walk along its ridge, where you ll be treated to stunning views over the Vale of Keswick. Refuel at one of the cosy village pubs in Threlkeld or grab a slice of homemade cake from the cafe. The picturesque lake of Ullswater is 12 miles away and makes a fantastic day out. Admire the landscape that inspired Wordsworth, enjoy a peaceful lakeside stroll or hop on one of the iconic steamers for a totally different perspective of the dramatic scenery. The cottage is full of rustic charm and is decorated in a country cottage style. At the heart of the home is a delightful kitchen/diner, with a gorgeous sandstone flag floor. In here you ll find a Range style oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, as well as ample storage in the large larder style cupboard. There s a dining table with seating for six, to enjoy mealtimes together whilst planning your next adventure. From here, head into the stylish lounge, with its large window framing the spectacular view of the Helvellyn range. After a busy day, grab a book and a glass of wine and sit back and relax in front of the roaring wood burner. Alternatively, unwind in front of a film on the Smart TV/DVD. Completing the ground floor is a handy utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a separate WC. Upstairs, you ll find two of the three bedrooms.
