Situated on the outskirts of the village of Haile, on the western edge of the Lake District, this property s quiet, countryside location ensures guests will have a relaxing stay. The unspoilt Ennerdale Valley is close by and offers quieter walking routes than other areas of the National Park, but its natural beauty is just as magnificent. Wasdale Valley, home to Scafell, Scafell Pike and Great Gable, is also easily accessible from here. To the south, you can visit Eskdale, famous for its steam railway which journeys to the coastal town of Ravenglass. On the coast, you can take clifftop paths from villages such as St. Bees or towns like Whitehaven, or just stroll along the beautiful beaches. This bright and airy cottage is beautifully presented throughout. Light wooden surfaces and large windows combine to create the feeling of space and light in every room. On entering through the side door, you ll find yourself in the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is cosy with sofas and chairs in front of a wood burner, which is perfect for colder evenings; on summer evenings, you can open the large patio doors which lead out to the garden. The dining table offers seating for six, whether you re sharing a meal, playing games or planning your next big adventure. To the rear of the room, the contemporary kitchen is equipped with everything you ll need to cater to everyone. There is a utility area with a washing machine and a small freezer with a separate WC. Upstairs, there s a double bedroom with an en suite shower room, another double with a Juliet balcony and a twin room, all with views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, you can access the mature, terraced garden from the patio doors in the lounge area. Directly outside is a large patio ideal for al fresco dining. Paths lead to other areas of the garden where you ll find a variety of hidden seating. The rear garden backs onto open fields and is not enclosed. There is ample free parking in the area immediately opposite the property.
