The 17th century barn conversion sleeps six guests and has a large garden, surrounded by rolling hills. Follow the Dales Way for 1 mile into Bowness on Windermere, where you ll find a wonderful selection of independent shops, eateries, and traditional pubs. During your stay, you really must get out on the water to appreciate Windermere in all its glory. Board one of the iconic steamers, where you can hop on and off to visit the aquarium or ride on the vintage steam train. Needless to say, the walking opportunities in this area are endless. Enjoy a tranquil waterside stroll, or head high up into the fells. Climb to the summit of Orrest Head for truly breathtaking views over the lake. Enter the property up some steps and via the original barn door, into the spacious entrance hall. From here, discover a welcoming lounge with a roaring wood burner, impressive high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams. Relax on the plush leather sofa in front of the Smart TV/DVD or challenge your fellow guests to a game on the Nintendo Wii. There s also a Bluetooth speaker so you can unwind listening to your favourite songs. A fantastic selection of games, books, DVDs and jigsaws are provided, to while away a few hours. Stairs lead from here to a mezzanine area with low sloping ceilings, overlooking the lounge; a peaceful spot to relax with a cup of coffee. Up a few steps from the lounge is the kitchen under sloping ceilings with low exposed beams, which has a dining table for enjoying mealtimes together as well as additional comfy seating so you can socialise whilst the food is being prepared, listen to the DAB radio or admire the views out over the garden. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There s also a coffee machine to kick start your day. On the ground floor, you ll also find the first of three bedrooms, a stylish king size decorated in calming tones with its own TV. The bathroom on this floor has a shower over the bath and a WC. Stairs from the kitchen lead down to the lower ground floor, where there are two further bedrooms. The first is the master bedroom, which has a king size bed and an en suite shower room with WC. The final bedroom is a pretty twin with two single beds, a TV/DVD and an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. On the lower ground floor is also a handy utility room with a washing machine and wine cooling fridge. Outside, there is a large garden laid to lawn, boasting far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. Congregate around the fire pit at the end of the garden to toast marshmallows or fire up the BBQ and enjoy a warm summer s evening of al fresco dining on the split level patio. The garden backs onto open countryside, with numerous walks to explore directly from the property. There is parking available for two cars.
