This property is located in a tranquil spot overlooking the Esthwaite Valley. There is a footpath leading directly from the property to the village of Hawkshead 0.5 miles away. Here, visitors will find some charming village pubs, a handful of shops, including a well stocked deli, and several National Trust properties, including the workplace of Beatrix Potter s husband William Heelis, which is now home to the Beatrix Potter Gallery. Of course, the real draw of the Lake District is the stunning landscape, dominated by lakes and mountains, and the property is in a prime location with Lake Windermere and Coniston Water both being within a five mile drive. Entering this detached property, guests first come to the tiled hallway, which gives access to the lounge/diner with its large dining table, comfortable sofas, multi fuel stove, TV/DVD, and telephone. Across the hallway, there is a lovely thoughtfully equipped playroom with a range of toys, games, children s books, and an additional TV/DVD. The kitchen, to the rear of the property has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. There is also a convenient ground floor WC. A short flight of stairs leads to the main bathroom, which benefits from a relaxing spa bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC. Continuing up the stairs, guests will come to the four bedrooms, two of these are king size rooms (one with en suite shower and WC), whilst the further two bedrooms are a twin and an attractive single room. Outside, there is a beautiful garden with large sloping lawns leading down to a pretty stream with a small waterfall. This makes a great place for a paddle, but guests should ensure that children are supervised at all times. Steps lead up the garden towards the property, at the top of which there is a Lakeland stone terrace surrounding the cottage, providing guests with a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the tranquillity and stunning views. There is a coal shed with plenty of fuel for the stove and parking provided for three cars.
