The picturesque village of Barlow is a wonderful place to call home for a while when visiting the Peak District National Park. The village offers numerous footpaths to enjoy, exploring the glorious surrounding hills and multiple eateries where you can sample local, seasonal delights. Chatsworth House, Hardwick and Haddon Hall are within a twenty minute drive and each offer historical charm and wonderful gardens to explore throughout the year. Pop into the nearby town of Bakewell, the home of the traditional Bakewell pudding and wander around the streets lined with independent shops or stop for lunch by the river which runs through. Take a few steps down to the front door and enter into the cottage which provides a bright and airy, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner for you to relax in. The stylish shaker kitchen is a delightful space to prepare a meal, complemented with sparkling quartz worktops, electric cooker and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Enjoy lazy breakfasts at the nearby dining table and on an evening retire to the comfy sofas in the lounge. Put your feet up in front of the Smart TV, or curl up with a good book overlooking the garden through the floor to ceiling windows. Head upstairs to the double bedroom, again complemented with floor to ceiling windows and a Smart TV. The en suite shower room is beautifully decorated and offers an enclosed shower and WC. The cottage is situated in a 2 acre landscaped garden which is shared with the owner. There are many seating areas tucked away in different spots to ensure privacy. Whether it's sat on the patio outside the cottage, on the bench by the babbling brook, or under the pergola laden with climbing roses and clematis, you will find a special place to rest. There is off road parking for two cars.
