Over Haddon is a small but very picturesque Peak District village, set peacefully amidst the rolling fields of the White Peak and located on a hill overlooking the beautiful Lathkill Dale. The village lies under 0.25 miles from the pretty market town of Bakewell (the home of the Bakewell pudding) and 4.5 miles to the stunning country estate of Haddon Hall. Wander through the pretty streets of Ashford in the Water (3 miles) or take a trip to Matlock and Matlock Bath (10 miles) to explore all of the independent shops, galleries and eateries. Chatsworth House and Gardens is only 6 miles and provides an unforgettable day out, don t forget to stop at the famous farm shop to stock up on some treats. Step into the entrance hall, where there s space to hang coats and store muddy boots, and wander through to the kitchen/diner. This room feels spacious with its big, vaulted ceiling and has everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal during your stay including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Come together around the dining table and plan the day's activities ahead. The spacious lounge offers a lovely spot to relax after a day hiking the hills; put your feet up and relax into the comfy sofas and watch something on the Smart TV with the roaring wood burner (first basket of logs provided) crackling in the background. Take a step up into the king size bedroom with an en suite shower room with a shower and WC. There is a further twin bedroom with two single beds and, to complete the accommodation, the bathroom has a shower over the bath, a sink and WC. Heading outside, there are two seating spots with a bistro table set within the shared courtyard, or a little further away is a patio situated to make the most of the stunning views. There is even a nearby summer house with seating, offering space to unwind whatever the weather. There is off road parking for two cars.
