Popular Tansley village is nestled on the edge of the Peak District, next to the market town of Matlock, the perfect base to enjoy tranquillity and to explore the Peak District. Nearby Bakewell, Chatsworth and Matlock Bath are easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the cottage itself and several wonderful pubs within a five minute walk. Matlock has a large variety of shops, supermarkets, a launderette, cafes, restaurants, pubs, indoor swimming pool, weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well known resort on the river with fish and chips, cable cars and numerous entertainment. Step along the stepping stone path which leads into the spacious kitchen/diner. There is an electric range style oven and hob, smeg fridge, washing machine and dishwasher which provides you with everything you need for a home away from home stay. There is also a farmhouse kitchen table which is the perfect spot for a lazy breakfast. The large lounge boasts a wood burner, comfortable sofas, TV/DVD, and big glass windows to overlook the fields opposite, ideal for relaxing with a cuppa after a hard day exploring. Leading upstairs to the spacious master bedroom with original beams for character and charm and a super king size bed (which can be made into twin on request). The bedroom window overlooks a cattle shed and calves can be seen at certain times of the year, if you are lucky. There is a further twin bedroom (which can be made into king size upon request). Both bedrooms feature charming stone window seats which bring the outside in. The stylish bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. To the front of the property is a gravelled area with a garden table and chairs, which lends itself as a great spot for dining alfresco. There is off road parking for two cars.
