The underfloor heating is in each room downstairs so you and your loved ones can easily keep warm on cooler evenings. On the ground floor of this charming barn are the bedrooms; a master king-size double with exposed beam and a single, along with a bathroom with a luxury roll-top bath and double separate shower. Up on the first floor is the open plan living area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, as well as a lovely woodburning stove and modern furnishings. Each room in this lovely property exudes quality and style. Outside there is a paved area with seat, a perfect place for that early morning cup of tea. Just a step away is an attractive small garden with a traditional flower border and views of the stream and paddock running up into the woods where guests are welcome to walk. There is also a BBQ for summer evenings and seating. Brightley is a pretty hamlet near the river Okement and adjacent to Abbeyford woods with ample opportunities for country pursuits. The market town of Okehampton has a medieval castle, a museum and a train station, as well as a selection of shops and pubs. Walks and cycling are a must within the Dartmoor National Park, where you may wish to venture to the Yes Tor which rises to above 2000 feet. With the north and south coasts of Devon to explore and charming villages and towns to visit makes Brightley Mill Barn an excellent place to stay.
