This beautiful house is spacious, light and well equipped, with high ceilings, large rooms and a real sense of grandeur throughout making Holset House a really special property for family and friends to enjoy their holiday whatever the occasion. With its’ formal dining room, five bedrooms, a large well equipped modern kitchen with a full complement of fitted units and high quality appliances, fabulous lounge with an open fire along with a snug, study and childrens den, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. The house is surrounded by lawns, perfect for children to let off steam. Holset House is sure to be a big hit with guests of all ages!
Holset is less than a mile from the village of East Portlemouth, which sits on the banks of the Salcombe Estuary and from where you can catch the foot ferry across to the popular town of Salcombe for a newspaper or a coffee, or take advantage of the many shops, cafes and restaurants. When you are ready for more adventure the spectacular scenery from the South West Coast Path is there to enjoy, perhaps taking a break at the highly acclaimed Gara Rock Resort which serves delicious food and offers spa and cinema facilities in an unrivalled location. There is also Port Waterhouse in East Portlemouth, a scenic bar and occasional pop up restaurant, along with being where Salcombe Paddle Boarding offers hire and tuition. Additional tidal access to the estuary at Goodshelter is just down the road from Holset for those wanting to access the water for more leisurely activities such as kayaking. The market town of Kingsbridge is a thirty minute drive away and Dartmouth around forty minutes; both have many amenities, shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. There is so much to offer in this glorious area of South Devon.
