This high quality, detached lodge is nestled in a wooded valley with a private garden, and sits on the outskirts of Blackawton amidst the South Hams District of Devon. This is a very private and tranquil location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Approached down a shared driveway servicing two other properties, Meadow Lodge @ Seawardstone has been finished to a beautiful standard with many boutique touches, creating a welcoming holiday home for two. Step into the open-plan living space; the kitchen is well-equipped with all you could need for a short stay, including a Belfast sink, fridge, electric oven and gas hob and a coffee machine so you can start your morning right. An open archway leads into the sitting area, home to a sumptuous settee, electric fire and Smart TV for on-demand entertainment. When dinner’s ready, set the dining table with crockery and cutlery and pop open a bottle of fizz, filling your glasses’ while your partner dishes up. There is also a small utility cupboard with dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up! Move through into the boutique bedroom, where you can discover a king-size bed and an outlook over the garden, providing a lovely view to wake up to. The bedroom has the addition of air conditioning to keep you cool in the warmer weather. The garden is a real highlight of this property, with a decked area with bistro table and chairs and a comfortable outdoor seating area so you can enjoy alfresco dining, along with two sun loungers for when the weather turns nice, plus a peaceful woodland setting to enjoy. The village of Blackawton offers a well-stocked shop with a Post Office, ideal for grabbing any cupboard essentials, or book a table at the welcoming family-run pub, The George Inn, where you can tuck into a delicious meal and have a night off from the kitchen. Pop on your walking boots and get to know the surrounding area better; meander along the River Avon, starting at the Avon Dam further up in the Dartmoor National Park, scaling down to Avonwick and entering the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a real haven for any outdoor lover. Head into Totnes, home to Totnes Castle which stands proudly atop a hill and offers far-reaching views over the town, and while you’re here, visit Totnes Museum which is set in a restored 16th century merchants house.
