This sweet little cottage is attached to a farmhouse on a traditional Devon farm. It is a wonderfully peaceful spot, with the 300 acre farm to wander, where you are likely to see wild duck on the ponds and plenty of other wildlife in this rural idyll. The farmer will even provide you with fresh veg to cook when it is available. The living room has plenty of character with big beams and a cosy wood burning stove, and leads to a dining area and well equipped kitchen. Stairs wind up from the living room to the two bedrooms which share the bathroom. This is excellent walking country, with lanes and footpaths to wander and Castle Drogo in its dramatic wooded valley, and you can dry your coats and boots in the outhouse by the cottage. The open space of Dartmoor is within easy reach, as is the friendly little town of Chagford with its inns and interesting little shops. For the bright lights of the city head to Exeter, 17 miles away, or take your buckets and spades to the beach, about 20 miles away. This is a friendly little cottage with stunning countryside to explore.
