Set within a working livery surrounded by 40 acres of rolling countryside, this peaceful spot is a great touring base. Local amenities can be found a short drive away and include a popular farm shop (2.3 miles) and pub (2 miles). The nearby market town of Shaftesbury (3 miles) is home to Gold Hill, made famous by the Hovis adverts in the 1970 s, a museum and the historic Abbey, as well as a great range of independent shops and cafes. Gillingham (5 miles) is also within easy reach and has a mainline train station and choice of supermarkets. Those wishing to travel slightly further afield will enjoy a trip to the Stourhead Estate (11 miles), which is in the care of the National Trust, Longleat Estate (21 miles) , Stonehenge (27 miles) or the Haynes Motor Museum (20 miles). Adjacent to the owners home yet with privacy assured, this characterful stone built barn is accessed via a long, shared drive and across a shared courtyard within this working livery. The entrance door leads into a welcoming entrance hall with space for muddy boots and immediately opposite is a handy utility room with washer/dryer and WC. Heading to the left from the hallway you will find an inviting double bedroom. Next door is a stylish bathroom with a freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. To the right of the hallway is a sociable open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
