The pretty North Dorset village of Child Okeford is well serviced with amenities including pubs and a shop and is ideally placed for touring. There are many popular towns to explore nearby, such as Blandford Forum with its weekly market and range of shops, pubs and cafes, and riverside walks. Or take a trip to Shaftesbury, made famous by the 1970 s Hovis advert filmed on picturesque Gold Hill and offering stunning views of the Blackmore Vale. Heading further south will take you to the beautiful Jurassic coastline, which is home to many of Dorset s best loved attractions including Old Poole, Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Ringstead Bay, Abbotsbury, West Bay and Lyme Regis. A long, shared driveway leads to the main entrance of this detached lodge style property. Enter via a set of external steps and a covered veranda. When you step inside there is an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with the lounge area immediately inside the door. This comfortable space has a wood burner effect electric fire, sofa bed (suitable for one adult, not available until June 2021) and a Smart TV. Leading on from here is the spacious kitchen/diner, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer (below the counter), microwave and washing machine. Next, you will find a cosy single bedroom, which is adjacent to the inviting double bedroom. Just opposite is a stylish shower room with a shower and WC. Heading outside from the rear door you will find a pretty, covered deck leading across a small lawn to an inviting patio with a table, chairs and a gas BBQ. An adjacent lawn area is fully enclosed. To the front of the property, there is a covered veranda with bench seating and off road parking for two cars.
