Welcome to Saltdean. A peaceful seaside holiday destination within reach of perfect countryside, historic sights and close to the action of Brighton!
You will have full use of our 4 double bedroom large family home with garden and private parking.
The beach is only a 10min walk and the rear of the property backs onto Telscombe Tye, a vast area of unspoilt grassland countryside overlooking the sea to the south and connecting to the South Downs National Park to the north where dog walkers and hikers will really be able to stretch their legs.
Ashe House provides a fantastic seaside getaway especially perfect for families. Also perfect for keen walkers and cyclists wanting to explore the surrounding areas. Explore Birling Gap and Seven Sisters, Newhaven Fort. The town of Lewes with medieval buildings and castle. And 10mins walk to the iconic Grade II listed Saltdean Lido.
Enjoy a relaxed bike ride along the beautiful undercliff to Brighton Marina with a selection of restaurants and leisure facilities. Or even take a walk along the seafront to the historic village of Rottingdean, the setting of pirate and smugglers tales.
Hop on the bus into Brighton, a shoppers paradise offering boutique shopping combined with fantastic places to eat and drink. Children will love exploring the Brighton Sea Life Centre and the Brighton Palace Pier (funfair rides at the end optional) And of course no visit would be complete without a visit to the Royal Pavilion & Museum, a Grade I listed former royal residence.
Right next door is The Theatre Royal Brighton. One of the oldest and most distinguished theatres in the country.
Then there is the famous Lanes, a warren of narrow, twisting alleyways filled with independent jewellers and tiny, high end antiques shops, designer boutique clothes shops and cakes! Alongside upmarket restaurants, quaint tea rooms, and traditional pubs serving real ales.
Nightlife in Brighton happens in a variety of venues from big name acts at the Brighton Centre and Brighton Dome to more intimate gigs in churches and pubs.
Back at the house enjoy the sea breeze on those balmy evenings with family meals, BBQs and fireside socialising out in the charming tiered garden. Or sipping a drink in the Hammock.
