There are 50 acres of land to explore within the farm with so much to discover including woods, streams and beautiful views. The National Trust common land surrounding you is free to roam so you can enjoy views of the Brecon Beacons without the climb. There are also plenty of activities in the local area, with a pony trekking centre nearby the friendly guides will lead you up over the Begwns on horseback for a morning, or nip over the other side of the hill and discover the canoe hire and adventure training centres, offering everything from a quick hour on the River Wye, to a Vespa ride up into the Black Mountains, bicycle hire to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, or a test of nerve on the high wire ropes. Hay on Wye, just 5 miles away, is famous for its international book festival, a fine selection of pubs and restaurants and an art house cinema where you can relax and step back in time. The accommodation is nestled into the hillside across a meadow and babbling stream. Sympathetically landscaped, the stone bothy sits within a raised terrace. The bothy is completely off grid; step inside and enjoy the natural light that pours in from the large leaded windows. The living space is open plan and finished with natural materials and classic colours and includes a small kitchen area with Belfast sink and wooden work tops. A table and chairs are set by the window for you to enjoy the views. For relaxing, a cosy sofa fronts a wood burner, where your four legged friend can curl up and for lighting, a selection of oil burning lamps will provide soft lighting for a cosy evening. A small ladder gives access to the mezzanine bedroom where you can enjoy a peaceful night s rest within the eaves, with soft linen and Welsh blankets. For bathing, there is a covered terrace with a claw foot bath where you can relax and enjoy the stars. A composting WC is situated just up from the terrace. Please note the property is off grid and so has no electricity, mobile signal or wi fi. All cooking is done on the wood burner. The simple landscape of the grounds blend into the surrounding countryside; relax in the wood fired hot tub for two and enjoy the skies overhead, or simply relax with a good book whilst enjoying afternoon tea. There is also a kitchen garden alongside the 50 acres of grounds. There is off road parking for one car and bicycle storage.
