Set in the grounds of the owner's country house, this property provides a beautiful base for enjoying long country walks. You can take a stroll in the neighbouring field, share a picnic and spot the red kites, woodpeckers and jays flying overhead. Local attractions include the remains of ancient Brecon Y Gaer and Pen y Crug forts (3.5 miles), Llangorse Lake (11 miles) and Talgarth Mill (12 miles). The friendly market town of Brecon (4 miles) is set in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through it. Brecon has a host of great places to eat and drink as well as a cathedral, a 1930s style cinema, an excellent theatre, a range of shops and a leisure centre complete with swimming pool. This delightful loft conversion is part of the original 18th century farmhouse which was once home to the Morgan family, who set up the popular Morgans department store in Cardiff. The property is set in the grounds of the owner s country house and is approached via a private drive. This fresh and relaxing loft conversion can be reached via an external flight of stone steps with wrought iron railings over the owner s garage. Entering the property, you will find the comfortable and welcoming open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which features sloping ceilings and a choice of interesting artwork. The lounge is a lovely space to relax in, with TV, DVD, CD and a wood burner so you can snuggle up in the evening. The dining area is perfect for a quiet meal for two, and the kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with an ice compartment. Exploring the property further, there are two cosy and brightly decorated bedrooms: an attractively furnished double room and a pretty single room. There s also a bathroom complete with a shower over the corner bath and a WC. The utility room is set downstairs to the rear of the property and houses the freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, making an ideal space for leaving wet coats and muddy boots. Going outside, there s a charming patio area at the top of the steps. Furnished with table and chairs, this is a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and take in the far reaching rural views. You will also have access to the adjoining field which is perfect for a picnic or a stroll. Ample parking is available, and there s safe storage for mountain bikes.
