Llammihangel is a quiet spot in the Vale of Glamorgan where little has changed since the 16th century, and the nearby 13th century church is still lit by lamps. Cowbridge (3 miles) is a charming market town teeming with independent shops, restaurants and bars, a place to see and be seen. Visit the shoreline at Llantwit Major (4.5 miles), a rugged and rocky beach with lovely cliff walks also popular with surfers. Located less than twelve miles away from the cottage, Barry Island is a favourite day trip for holidaymakers and locals alike, offering a fun seafront pleasure park with a good range of both thrilling and family friendly rides. The Welsh capital Cardiff is a vibrant city with a fantastic choice of shops, bars, museums, and arts venues, as well as a host of attractions including Cardiff Castle, Bute Park, and even a tour of Dr Who locations. On entering this lovingly restored property, you will instantly see and feel the high quality of finish within. To your right of you, is a well equipped kitchen with a vibrant two oven AGA, microwave, Nespresso machine and dishwasher and parallel to this room is a utility area including a washing machine and fridge/freezer. Step through into the spacious lounge/diner with high ceilings, a wood burner, comfortable seating, and a Smart TV for you to curl up and enjoy those cosy movie nights. The dining table comfortably seats six, should you have any visitors for lunch. The family bathroom with a double ended roll top bath, separate shower and WC, is located on the ground floor. Walk further down the hall to the cosy twin bedroom with large glass doors that lead out onto the patio area. This is a wonderful place to watch the morning breaking with a cup of coffee. Head up the beautifully crafted oak and glass staircase to the mezzanine bedroom with a sumptuous super king bed, fitted wardrobe and draws, Smart TV and an en suite WC. Outside, you have a long patio area, stretching the length of the property, here you can sit and enjoy taking in the quiet, natural surroundings. Opposite the main entrance to the cottage is a vegetable patch from which you are welcome to pick your own. At the far end of the vegetable patch is an enclosed lawned area that the children can discover and your dog (on lead) to stretch their legs.
