The small village of Clearwell is peacefully tucked into the valley, though small the village has a bustling community and is well served offering two village inns and restaurant. The property neighbours Clearwell Castle which is a wonderful wedding and events venue. And Clearwell Caves where you can step back in time to the days of mining. For walkers you are surrounded by countryside with well waymarked paths that will guide you through some breath taking scenery. Both the Forest of Dean and Wye valley are steeped in history with many medieval and market towns to explore, Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Tintern and Hay on Wye. And for a little more adventure outdoors there is canoeing and rock climbing at Symonds Yat, Mountain biking for all abilities throughout the Forest of Dean and for serious walking the Black Mountains just across the border. This beautiful dovecote is perfect for two, Grade II listed and lovingly restored by the owners of the farm that it is situated within. The solid oak door opens onto the ground floor, the lime plastered walls and exposed wooden frame are enhanced by the contemporary style of furnishings, relax in front of the TV, or enjoy a simple supper with views onto the courtyard garden. The kitchen has been hand crafted with solid oak work tops and wooden shelving that slips into the background. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer. So, when the day is done, climb the wooden stairs to the top of the dovecote where you will find a double bedroom set within the eaves, this circular room is full of character and has an en suite shower and WC. Step outside there is an open aspect courtyard area with seating where you can enjoy a morning coffee in the sun and the church bells on a Sunday. There is off road allocated parking for one car.
