A spacious open plan kitchen with dining area welcomes you in. The kitchen area is well-equipped and caters for all your needs and the dining area is perfect for enjoying a family meal together, there is even a cosy sitting area where you can sit quietly and finish that book! The sitting room, once an old barn has been beautifully incorporated into the cottage and now provides a wonderful living space with a warming wood burning stove and comfy sofas. The light and airy feel is enhanced by the high pitched ceiling and bi-fold doors which open up the whole length of the room so you can take in the garden, hillside scenery and enjoy the country air on balmy summer evenings. There are three bedrooms, the main bedroom is on the ground floor and benefits from an en-suite shower room, and upstairs there is a twin, a single and family bathroom. To the front of the cottage is a patio with picnic table so you can look out across the garden towards the hillside whilst enjoying alfresco dining or enjoy a morning coffee whilst relaxing in the rear courtyard. This lovely cottage stands amidst some beautiful countryside in the Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park, which is renowned for its mountain bike routes, magnificent walking trails, spectacular waterfalls, nature reserves and other exciting outdoor pursuits. There is secure bike storage and an outside washing area, making this a perfect base for biking enthusiasts. Dolgellau is 5 miles away, offering shops, pubs and restaurants for light snacks. Alternatively, why not spend a few days relaxing on the sandy beaches at Aberdovey, Barmouth or Fairbourne? Or explore the medieval castles at nearby Harlech and Criccieth, or slightly further afield Caernarfon. At the end of the day return to this lovely cottage to relax. A great base anytime of the year.
