Large enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. . Colaboll Farmhouse is located on a working farm on the edge of the village of Lairg. The property has been renovated to a good standard keeping many features of the original building but adding all modern requirements. The property sits in enclosed grounds with a gravel drive with lawn and shrubs to the side and front of the property. Entry through the rear door takes you into the rear hallway with an area for coats and boots next to the utility room which leads to the spacious modern well-equipped kitchen. The main hallway takes you to the cosy living room with feature fireplace, wood burner, comfy sofas, and amazing views across the countryside. Across the hallway there is the bright dining room with table and chairs and work area with a desk and chair for those who have to work from home, the ground floor is complete with a separate toilet. There are four bedrooms, on the first floor the master is a large room with kingsize bed, there are two spacious double rooms, the final bedroom is a bright and airy single. All the bedrooms have beautiful views of the countryside and are individually decorated. The family bathroom completes this floor with bath and walk-in shower. Outside there is a seating area for al fresco dining or just relax and enjoy your surroundings.
Colaboll Farmhouse is near Lairg which offers, local shops, cafés, restaurants and bars, the area is popular for fishing for salmon, trout and brown trout and hill walking with two of the most northly Munros nearby Ben More and Ben Kilbreck. Take a day trip to Durness and explore Smoo Cave and experience the unspoilt beaches with golden sands and clear turquoise water. The popular Falls of Shin is close where the waterfall flows into the River Shin and you can watch the salmon leaping. Colaboll Farmhouse is the perfect base for getting out and exploring everything Sutherland and the rest of northern Scotland has to offer, the property and the scenery will not disappoint.
