Grantown-on-Spey is a small town located on the edge of the spectacular Cairngorms National Park and is surrounded by ancient woodlands with a unique habitat, which supports a large variety of wildlife. The area is a popular all year round holiday destination due to the large range of outdoor pursuits available, along with a range of amenities second to none.
Situated half way between the Cairngorm and Lecht ski centres, where you can ski and snow board or climb and walk in some of Scotland’s most scenic areas. Amongst the many activities available are mountain biking, kayaking and gorge walking, clay pigeon shooting, golf, fishing and zip lining to name just a few. Take a trip along the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail or visit some of the lovely fishing villages dotted along the Moray coastline. Visit the nearby Craggan Outdoor Centre just on the edge of the town, where you can experience a large range of outdoor pursuits. Slightly further afield visit the Landmark Forest Adventure Park in the Carrbridge, the Highland Wildlife Park at Kingussie or take a trip up into the Cairngorms mountain range on the funicular railway and see the reindeer in the Cairngorm Centre or board the steam train for an exciting trip through the beautiful countryside. The vibrant town of Aviemore is just 15 miles, where you can enjoy a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops.
