A uniquely characterful Norfolk cottage located in the heart of the royal Sandringham estate and formerly used as stables, The Long Cottage is an excellent option for those looking to get an authentic holiday experience. Made from local carrstone that is unique to this area, it combines the old world with the new, providing the comfort and facilities that will compliment any stay. The property is also surrounded by a mixture of lawns, mature shrubs and flowerbeds, creating a private, intimate space to relax in that provides several suntraps all around the house, throughout the day. Also offered as a three-bed option for up to six, outside of the peak season.
Upon entering into the cottage, you are greeted with the large kitchen/dining area that forms the hub of the house. Here you can plan the day or enjoy good company long into the evening. The kitchen has been well-equipped and will easily cater for both large dinner parties or barbecues in the garden, with comfortable dining options provided in both areas. The stable annexe is a wonderful option for those in the group that need a little more privacy. Accessed internally, or via an it's own front door, it provides a well equipped kitchenette and en suite shower room.
Four comfortable bedrooms have been prepared, offering guests a super-king, king and twin bedded options. The fourth bedroom is located on the first floor and can accommodate three guests in three single beds, one of which is adult sized. Supporting the bedrooms, you find that Long Cottage offers several smaller rooms for the group to relax in. Whether it is in the sitting room, drawing room, snug or the kitchenette that serves the king bedroom on the ground floor, most needs can be accommodated. Both the sitting room and the snug have been appointed with smart televisions.
The outside space includes enclosed gardens to the front and rear of the property, of which are quiet and private. The murmur of school children can sometimes be heard drifting into the garden from the village primary school, but this merely adds to the charm of the property. An area for barbecues has been created, with additional storage for bikes and off-road parking.
