The coastal town of Whitby sits just 7 miles away, here you can make the most of plenty of charming shops, delicious eateries and welcoming countryside pubs alongside the Whitby Abbey and Pannett Park, to name just a few attractions. That's not all, the cottage is located within the heart of the North York Moors National Park, so you can meander the scenic countryside that surrounds you until your heart's content. Looking out onto the beautiful moors, this stone cottage that's set over three floors is an idyllic countryside retreat for couples and families alike. The classic cottage offers plenty of charm with the benefit of contemporary comforts thrown in. The ground floor is home to a rustic styled kitchen diner boasting shabby chic furniture, whilst being fully equipped with all the cooking essentials you'll require throughout your stay. The cosy lounge is home to soft furnishings, comfortable sofas and a warming wood burner, perfect for the colder months. The winding stairs lead up to the two comfortable bedrooms and spacious family bathroom. The bathroom is home to a wonderful roll top bath, so you can enjoy a long soak following a day of discovery. There is also a separate shower cubicle and WC in this room. One twin bedroom is located on the first floor, with a master bedroom (complete with additional single bed) occupying the top floor. Parents should note there is a section of open staircase from the hallway up to the first floor, so can we please ask to take extra care with children. Outside, there is a pretty patio area and lawned garden, offering garden furniture along with plenty of space to be enjoyed by children and canine companions alike. Take tea alfresco on a sunny day or dine on the patio well into the evening. Drinks beneath this National Park's Dark Sky provides the opportunity for a little stargazing while on holiday at the cottage, while there are a couple of Inns in the centre of the village that you could head to for an easy evening out.
