The amazing Kielder Water and Forest are on your doorstep to explore, go for walks in the peaceful forest, enjoy bike rides and try your hand at a variety of water sports and other activities. This is an official International Dark Sky Park and so a night time visit to the Kielder Observatory to gaze at the Milky Way is a must! You can visit Bellingham, the gateway town to Kielder where you can sample the delights of the pubs, shops and café, pop into pretty Falstone village or head out to historic Otterburn. Back home , you can walk to the village pub for a drink and a meal or enjoy a coffee in Kielder Castle's cafe on the edge of the village. Access is at front of house into the hallway with a useful shoe cupboard, follow the hallway to the kitchen/diner where you have everything you need and more to prepare a delicious meal when you get back from a day of exploration, including an induction hob, an eye level double electric oven with a separate grill, fridge freezer and a slow cooker. There is also a microwave, coffee machine and a cafetiere. You will find some handy USB charging points for your devices too. The large dining table has seating for seven in front of a feature wood burner fireplace, a lovely setting for good food and conversation. Leading from the kitchen is the utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a collection of picnic ware to use outside and the glazed door leads you into rear garden and patio areas. Next to the utility room, there is a shower room with a shower cubicle and WC. Moving back down the hallway, you come to the lounge with dual aspect windows and views of the rear garden and stunning forest beyond. There are two large comfortable sofas and two easy chairs to settle back into while you catch up with your favourite shows on the Smart TV. Upstairs you will find the three bedrooms; each with a hair dryer for your use during your stay. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a wardrobe and chest of drawers, a Smart TV and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, jacuzzi bath and WC. The second bedroom also has a king size bed with plenty of storage for your things and a Smart TV. The third 'family' bedroom can sleep three in a small double bed with single bunk bed over, plus there is a wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage. The modern family bathroom features a 'P' shaped bath with shower over and WC. Outside the generous garden offers a variety of areas to sit back and relax. There are sun loungers and a patio table and chairs where you can extend your day and enjoy a drink, or an al fresco meal cooked on the BBQ all while taking in the breath taking dark skies that Kielder is so famous for. Bring your bikes as there is secure cycle storage in the garden too (or you can rent bikes in the park). There is parking for one car opposite the house plus free, additional parking in the school car park or along the quiet road leading towards the village castle and pub.
