There is also an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a wrap-around decking area with furniture. Betty's Lodge is the perfect country retreat for small families. Note: Though the property is all on the ground floor, there are steps leading up to the front door and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. It is eight miles from Alnwick where there is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat as well as a castle, gardens, Europe's largest cascading water feature, a tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. Nearby there are golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands, Brinkburn Priory and the National Trust’s Cragside House and Gardens.
Located in Morpeth, this lodge is in a rural area. Alnwick Castle and Bailiffgate Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre and Macdonald Linden Hall Golf Course. Eshott Heugh Animal Park and Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
