It is eight miles from Alnwick where there is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat as well as a castle, gardens, Europe's largest cascading water feature, a tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. Nearby there are golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands, Brinkburn Priory and the National Trust’s Cragside House and Gardens.
Located in Morpeth, this lodge is in a rural area. Alnwick Castle and Bailiffgate Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre and Macdonald Linden Hall Golf Course. Eshott Heugh Animal Park and Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
