Newton by the Sea is almost completely owned by the National Trust and offers a charming and unspoilt welcome to visitors. Located on part of a private farm, close to the beach, this is the perfect destination for relaxation and to explore the glorious Northumberland coastline. With a choice of beaches that feature in The Good Beach Guide , you can decide each morning whether to explore the quiet rock pools and rocky outcrops for local wildlife or to get your adrenaline pumping with one of the many water sports on offer in the area. The village itself has two pub/restaurants, one of which has what could be England s most northerly micro brewery and produces a range of its own ales for you to sample once the sunsets. If you wish to travel further afield, Alnwick Castle as featured in the Harry Potter movies is less than 12 miles away by car and is just one of many castles and historic buildings you can visit from your beachside base. The property is part of a complex of stylish holiday lodges surrounded by open countryside and features comfortable accommodation with an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with windows offering spectacular views over the unspoilt countryside. The well equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer, as well as a centrally located dining table perfect for a relaxing evening meal. The stylish and elegant lounge features large patio doors allowing you to enjoy the views as you unwind after a day at the beach along with a Smart TV/DVD. Put your feet up and relax on one of the comfortable sofas, positioned to take advantage of the views across the countryside. At the end of the day, climb the stairs to the first floor, there are two bedrooms: a light and airy double bedroom, and a second bedroom with twin beds and plenty of natural light from the two large windows. The bright and stylish shower room, with shower and WC can be found on the first floor too. Outside, a private decking area faces south west with views across the countryside is accessed from the patio doors; ample seating is provided on the deck. As part of the complex, there is a shared games room with a pool table, table football, a separate WC and Smart TV with Sky TV with Sky Sports for those important, not to be missed events. There is also an enclosed, outdoor children s play area with swings and slides and a climbing frame. Parking for one car is outside the property with additional free parking nearby if required.
