There are a number of beautiful beaches and coves, many of which are dog friendly and within a 20 minute drive - Aber Mawr near Mathry, Traeth Llyfn near Porthgain, Abereiddi Bay and Blue Lagoon, Whitesands Bay, Porthselau, Porthlysgi Bay and Caerfai Bay, all close to St Davids, and Gwadn Beach in Solva. Solva - Waterside Village and Solva SailboatsA pretty fishing village with a fjord type estuary and small sandy beach. There are a few interesting shops and galleries and a choice of places to eat and drink. The excellent village shop, post office and off-licence, Bay View Stores, sells groceries, papers and angling goods and offer a delivery service within the local area. Do visit St Nons Catholic retreat and Chapel - if only for the dramatic coastal setting, high on the cliffs overlooking St Brides Bay. St Davids, with its magnificent Cathedral, art and craft shops, restaurants and cafes is an easy drive away as is the pretty harbour village of Solva.
