Ideal for large family gatherings and celebrations, this spacious, detached holiday home is situated in the centre of the highland village of Killin in Stirlingshire. The village is often referred to as ’the most picturesque village in Scotland’ where you are surrounded by spectacular scenery in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. If you enjoy the great outdoors there are activities to suit everyone such as fishing for salmon and trout (permits available from the local paper shop), cycling, water sports, botany around Ben Lawers, and golf with a testing 9-hole golf course within the village. You can purchase a ticket to play various Perthshire golf courses within a one week period. From your doorstep there are many walks within the surrounding countryside and hills, and the spectacular Falls of Dochart are within 5 minutes’ walk. Killin has a great selection of bars, restaurants, cafes, local shops and an outdoor and mountain shop with outdoor equipment for hire.
Tayview is an ideal spot for touring the central and west highlands. The bustling city of Glasgow is just over an hour away, and Edinburgh, Oban and Fort William an hour and a half, with Stirling and Perth around an hour. If you have any energy left after your day’s adventures, why not have a game of table football in the games room? This spacious house has enough room so you can curl up with a book in the living room in front of the wood burner, or watch your favourite soap in the TV room. After preparing the evening meal in the well-equipped kitchen, the whole group can discuss the next day’s activities while sitting round the dining room table. For the summer months there is a large patio for al fresco dining or just soaking up the fabulous views of the mountains. Tayview in Killin and the Stirlingshire area is also perfect for a short break. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
