Haye Barton Farm is a huge, detached, completely private, south-facing farmhouse on three levels, looking over 115 acres of farmland and bluebell woods which are all yours to roam and explore with care; there is a river - great for older children but small children should be supervised. The village of St.Ive is 1½ miles away and the house is approached over its own track. Step inside a huge farmhouse kitchen with dining table and chairs one end with wood-burning stove and flagstone floor, with the added novelty of a glass-topped original well by the sink! Walk through to an equally large living room with inglenook and wood-burning stove. At this level there is a big utility room and toilet. Head up the stairs to five bedrooms, three king-size and one romantic super king-size four-poster and two twin. Family bathroom and shower-room. Take a few more stairs up to a second living room-cum-den with double sofa bed and a super-king double bedroom with en suite shower-room - in this room there are some sloping beams. Immediately in front, there is a small, enclosed walled garden. Once all was thriving with a variety of farming activities, now the surrounding barns are mostly vacant. An open-ended barn contains table tennis and badminton and the rest provide sanctuary for swallows. This is a great central spot from which to explore the county, but once here you might not want to leave! This is a terrific family house offering freedom for children.
