Parnacott is a Grade II listed 16th century house three miles from Holsworthy and eight miles from the surf beach at Bude. Elegant and comfortable, with large rooms, big windows and lovely furniture, it is very special accommodation for family gatherings or get-togethers for friends with two ground floor bedrooms ideal for those who cannot do stairs. From the hall, the drawing room is a serene space with an open fire and the dining room is a stylish place for fine dinner parties. An informal place to eat is the breakfast room which has a wood burning stove and doubles as a sitting room just off the excellent kitchen. For the children, there is a special sitting room with TV, games consoles and toys. You will find two of the bedrooms downstairs, and the other five up the curving staircase. Outside is lots of space for children to play, with 12 acres of grounds, perfect for hide and seek and spotting wildlife. A barn houses a table tennis table and there are lots of garden games for adults and children to enjoy, such as badminton and croquet. The friendly owners also provide buckets and spades and bodyboards for you to use on the beach at Bude, where you can hire bikes too. This is a perfect place for an active holiday, since horse riding and clay pigeon shooting are available locally and the Coast Path is perfect for walkers. With all sorts of services available, from daily domestic help to baby-sitting and dog-sitting, Parnacott is a peaceful, much loved house for relaxing or enjoying the area.
