Featured in The Daily Mail and The Sunday Times with a quirky sea featured designer makeover. Grey Roofs is a picture perfect coastal retreat. Situated close to the picturesque harbour of Port Isaac( 60 steps to the shore) with direct views of the harbour and sea from the deck. A boutique style, fisherman's cottage located just a few strides from Port Isaac harbour on the north Cornwall coast. Grey Roofs is a picture perfect coastal retreat. Stylishly decorated throughout, with meticulous attention to detail, this self catering cottage has been recently renovated to create a luxury holiday home-from-home by the sea whilst still retaining its original character and charm. Sleeping five guests in three bedrooms and one bathroom, Grey Roofs has ideal accommodation for a small family or group of friends looking to explore the north Cornwall coast. From your doorstep, take a stroll around the old village wondering through the narrow streets where you will find a host of white washed fisherman's cottages, an array of local shops, cafe's and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Step into a stylish and spacious fully fitted kitchen, well equipped with everything you could need to enjoy some Cornish inspired self-catering. Gather around the farmhouse dining table, perfect for a light lunch or candlelit dinner. A few steps down into the reception area and living area, a choice of armchairs entice you to linger afterwards, or you climb the steep cliff-side steps to the top decking area to enjoy evening drinks as dusk falls with stunning harbour and coastal views as a backdrop. Lead on into the sitting area and sink into the comfortable sofa after a day beside the sea, play a family board game or relax in front of the log burner with a favourite film. A separate study area provides a dedicated work space for those that need it in the reception area. Upstairs, the three bedrooms and family bathroom offer a contemporary holiday haven. The master suite with a king size bed continues the palette of gallant colours of the seaside. The comfortable single bedroom shares the family bathroom with the remaining twin bedroom. Port Isaac is the home to the Doc Martin TV series, the Fisherman's Friends and a working harbour. Take time out to eat a bag of fish and chips on the harbour wall as the sun sinks below the horizon - you won't regret it! Spend a day enjoying the gentle comings and goings of the fishing boats in the harbour, listening to the waves hitting the rocks or rock-pooling on the nearby Port Gaverne beach. If you're feeling energetic, a few miles west lies Port Quin, an unspoilt cove. Tackling the coastal walk to Port Quinn over Lobber point past the rocky cove of Pine Haven and finally dropping down into this pretty National Trust owned cove. A lovely spot for swimming, kayaking, rock pooling or fishing. With cycling, golf, tennis as well as a wide variety of watersports on offer, as well as stunning sandy beaches at Rock and Polzeath and historic villages to explore - there is bound to be something on the North Cornwall coast to suit all members of your party. Whatever the weather, Grey Roofs is a superb base.
