Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: Gunnislake is a small country village on the heavily forested banks of the Tamar River. It has a few welcoming pubs and a handful of shops. The village is notable for being at one end of the picturesque Tamar Valley Railway, which runs down the riverbank to Plymouth on a regular basis. Dartmoor, the northern and southern coast beaches, and the delights of Cornwall's far west are all within easy reach. Tavistock, with its pannier market, bars, and restaurants, is close by, as is Calstock, a popular fishing village.
Located in Gunnislake, this lodge is in a rural area and near theme parks. Calstock Arts Centre and Limekiln Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Launceston Steam Railway and Adrenalin Quarry. Kartworld and Port Eliot House and Gardens are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding, cycling, and hiking nearby.
