The property is located in the unspoilt Duddon Valley, a quiet corner of the Lake District. This is the perfect retreat if you want to experience the magic of Cumbria without the crowds. The barn sleeps six guests and boasts spectacular views over meadows and fells. Head to the tiny village of Seathwaite (6 miles) for a relaxing walk along the river or enjoy magnificent views from the top of Caw Fell. The charming town of Broughton in Furness (1 mile) has a fascinating history as well as some fantastic eateries serving local produce. Coniston Water (13 miles) makes a wonderful day out. Stroll along the water s edge, climb the Old Man of Coniston and ride on the Steam Yacht Gondola. This stylish, semi detached converted barn is full of little touches to make your stay extra special, including plush soft furnishings, high spec appliances, and quirky furniture. Enter the property into the impressive double height conservatory. This is a lovely, sunny spot to unwind on a lazy afternoon, admiring the splendid views towards the Grizebeck fells. You ll also find handy coat hooks and shoe storage in here. From the conservatory, head into the bright and airy kitchen, which is equipped with a double oven, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher. There s also a washing machine/dryer to deal with any muddy walking gear. In the kitchen, discover a unique breakfast bar inspired by bicycles; the perfect spot to sit with a coffee and peruse the map on the wall to inspire your next adventure. At the heart of the home is the large, open plan lounge/diner. The room is decorated in calming, neutral tones and has two comfy sofas, as well as a revolving snuggle chair, arranged around the cosy wood burner. Curl up here at the end of the day to watch your favourite film on the Smart TV/DVD. At the opposite end of the room is a contemporary dining table, with seating for everyone, as well as extra seating in the form of a leather corner sofa. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC and a useful utility cupboard. Ascend the corner staircase to the first floor, where there are three tasteful bedrooms. The first is a king size, with glorious views out over the meadows. The second is a cosy double, and the final bedroom is a twin with stairs leading to a Velux window with fabulous views towards the estuary. The stylish family bathroom has a large bath, shower and WC. Outside, the property has two lawns one to the front and one to the rear. The garden to the rear is enclosed and has outdoor furniture for an al fresco aperitif on warm summer evenings. There is off road parking for three cars next to the property.
