This 15th century farmhouse has been sensitively renovated to provide a stunning home filled with historic features and high quality home comforts. This farmhouse is set in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside with open views all around and fabulous walks from the doorstep, yet only a few miles from the bustling market town of Kendal. The house sits snugly in its own settlement with two ancient barns and various small outbuildings all locked for your safety. There are numerous lakes and mountains to discover and enjoy from child friendly toddles to challenging mountain hikes. Nearby Kendal (3.5 miles) has plenty of places to eat and drink, from cafes, serving homemade cakes to high end restaurants and welcoming pubs. The kitchen/dining area has a definite wow factor; a large, well equipped, and very stylish kitchen with handmade wooden units and quartz worktops. The kitchen incorporates a double oven with an induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and double Belfast sink. There is a useful utility area with a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area is equipped with a large wooden table that seats ten, just the place for a celebratory meal. Sofas are well placed around the second wood burner (first basket of logs provided). A wooden door leads up the private staircase to the master bedroom on the first floor. This is one of the oldest parts of the farmhouse and you can't fail to notice the beautiful period features in this room, complemented by a very stylish contemporary decor, king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower and WC. An original 18th century wooden staircase from the open plan living/kitchen/dining room leads up to the next bedroom and looks out over the side of the property towards the Lakeland fells and has a king size bed.
