A great base for cyclists and mountain bikers, explore the Glenderaterra Valley before venturing across to the craggy face of Lonscale Fell. Discover local history at the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum or stock up on supplies in nearby Penrith, 15 miles away, home to a host of independent shops and a regular farmers market. After a busy day, pop into the village of Threlkeld to enjoy a bite to eat at one of the two friendly pubs, both just 1 mile away. Inside, this former farmhouse offers a tasteful blend of old and new as oak beams and flagstone floors combine with fresh decor and contemporary appliances. Leave wet boots and coats in the drying room, where you will also find the washing machine, tumble dryer and additional freezer. Create delicious meals in the stylish bespoke kitchen, which boasts granite worktops, a small dining table and wonderful views of Blencathra from the sink. Fitted with everything you could need, here you will find a range style electric oven and gas hobs, microwave, two fridges, dishwasher and separate pantry. Once prepared, enjoy meals in the dining room that seats ten and enjoys a south facing view. From here, step through into the cosy lounge, complete with a TV, wood burner and door opening onto the garden. Also on the ground floor is the impressive master king size bedroom with an en suite shower room, plus a delightful twin bedroom with feature fireplace and mountain views. On the first floor are the three remaining bedrooms, one twin, one single and one double, all of which boast impressive, elevated views and share a family bathroom with a separate shower. The first floor also benefits form a second, impressive high ceilinged lounge complete with exposed beams and ceiling trusses, a quirky wood burner, TV, DVD player and double doors opening onto an outside roof terrace overlooking Blencathra. Outside, the large garden is a wonderful space in which to enjoy meals and games with the family. With a generous lawn, wood framed swing, picnic benches and wildlife rich mature trees, the outside space offers something for everyone. There is ample parking for five or six cars plus a wooden shed for storing bikes.
