CROYDE GOLDSANDS OVERVIEW
A stylish and luxurious family bungalow located just off Moor Lane. It enjoys a prime location, in a quiet private road, being only a few minutes walk from the golden sands of the Blue Flag accredited Croyde beach and a short walk from the pubs, restaurants and shops of this ‘chocolate box' archetypal English village. This delightful property has been equipped to a high standard, the spacious accommodation has been attractively and lovingly decorated, a real home-from-home with a distinctive country cottage charm, contemporary and sophisticated yet comfortable and welcoming. The natural wood floors and doors lend a warm feel to this cosy holiday home. With off-road parking for at least two cars, GOLDSANDS also benefits from a secluded and enclosed lawned rear garden with patio area and garden furniture, perfect for lazing around the barbeque.
LIVING AREAS
On entering GOLDSANDS you will discover the large double-glazed, tiled floor entrance porch houses a washing machine and provides an ideal room to store outdoor clothing and footwear.
Lounge:
Go through the double-glazed sliding doors into the entrance hall and guests are greeted with a feeling of warmth and calmness. The bright lemon shades on the walls complement the natural wood floor and door and allow the living room to flow seamlessly into the dining room. Light cascades through the rear patio doors into the sumptuously furnished triple-aspect living room. 3 sofas provide ample seating, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the warm glow that radiates from the cast iron wood burner set on terracotta tiles in the wood-beamed feature fireplace. The entertainment needs of both adults and children are well catered for, there is a large selection of toys, games, puzzles, books, VHS videos and DVD's suitable for both. The hardware includes a flat-screen TV, both VHS and DVD players, iPod dock with integrated CD player, plus a basic Sky package.
Diner:
The dining area boasts a large pine dining table, seating 8 plus a further children's play table, large doll's house and several toy boxes. Two highchairs are also thoughtfully provided for the larger family.
The large, well-stocked bookcase and pine corner unit contain videos, books and DVD's.
Both rooms benefit from large doors that lead directly into the flat lawned rear garden.
KITCHEN
This well-equipped room enjoys views over, and access to, the rear garden. It is modern and light, with clean lines. The cream shaker style kitchen units and brushed nickel handles tone well with the wood effect laminate work surface and solid wood floor, halogen spotlights add to the ambience. There is a comprehensive selection of utensils, crockery and glassware as well as a fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 4 slice toaster, kettle, cafetiere, electric cooker with double oven below, dishwasher, washing machine, electric blender/chopper and bread maker including the ever-useful selection of children's plates and beakers.
BEDROOMS
There are 3 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1; is a family room overlooking the rear garden and large enough to accommodate the pine bunk beds (Double bed below, Single bed plus standard bunk bed). Fitted pine wardrobes offer huge amounts of storage space and also house a large selection of children's games and storybooks. Each single bed has its own bedside table and lamp.
Bedroom 2; a double room, welcomes the early morning sun and looks out over the front garden. Bedside tables and lamps shoulder the large metal-framed double bed, whilst a good-sized pine wardrobe and chest of drawers ensure guests have plenty of storage space, also, there is a wall-mounted pine framed dressing mirror.
Bedroom 3; another double, is the master with en-suite shower room. The large wood-framed double bed co-ordinates well with the other bedroom furniture in this sizable room. There is access
to the rear garden through double french doors. A large wardrobe and 5-drawer chest with mirror over provide storage. This room also benefits from an en-suite shower room.
BATHROOM
The family bathroom has a white painted wood floor that adds light and a feeling of space. The walls are painted pale lemon white down to the dado rail with natural tongue and groove wood below. There is a separate shower cubicle illuminated by halogen downlight. A white bathroom suite comprises bath with polished chrome taps, low-level WC and a rectangular traditional style washbasin. As well as the mirror fronted wooden cabinet set above the washbasin there is also a traditional wall mounted shaving mirror. A heated towel rail, potty, booster step and child's lavatory seat are nice extra touches.
The master en-suite shower (down a small step) is illuminated by halogen downlights, has an unpainted wood floor and contains an enclosed shower cubicle, pedestal wash basin with mirror tiles over, a low-level WC and heated towel rail complete the facilities.
OUTDOORS
The south-west-facing rear garden is enclosed and private; a real suntrap and perfect for outdoor entertaining or for the kids to enjoy a game of catch.
The large lawned area leads to a delightful wooden summer house complete with swinging chair seating and raised deck in front. A fabulous hideaway. Beautiful palms provide a real beach atmosphere.
